Hello Greece.

Chris Hadfield, Canadian astronaut and member of the crew of ISS took the following photographs, while passing over Greece. I include a map of Greece to help you find the places of the photographs on it.
Part of the island of Crete. North is to the right of the photograph. You can see the central part of the island, the town of Heraclion on the northern coast, the island of Dia and the ruins of the ancient city of Knossos.
A closer look at Crete from above. Again the central part of the northern coast. and one can see the snow covered MT Ida where Zeus or Jupiter was born.
The gulf of Messini in southwest Peloponese. The towns of Kalamata and Sparta can be seen also.
The town os Patrai on the northwestern part of Peloponnese. The new bridge connecting Peloponnese with mainland Greece can also be seen clearly.
The island of Rhodes in southeastern Aegean Sea.
Attica, with the capital Athens and Pireaus. The island closer to the mainland is Salamis and the other one a little further south is Aegina. The Attic a peninsula is ending at cape Sounion at the right of the photograph.
